An early painting experimenting with this new method. Hand painting the eyes gives these animal portraits an interesting look. I have tried people this way but it better on animals. Anyway, I have always been fascinated with lions, their presence impacts their surroundings. If they are calm, everything around them is calm, if they are on edge, everything around them are on edge. I've always looked at them as the peace keepers. Don't know why, but there it is.
