My previous wife's cousin passed away in 2016. Her son was diagnosed with cancer and died 5 years later. He was a "Wish Kid" and his wish was to go to Hawaii with his dad and sister. It turned out to be his best vacation ever. I saw this reference photo and thought of Kaleb immediately and felt lead to paint it in honor of him.
